Procedure Technique
At Great Expectations Family Practice and Medispa, we will have you lying in a relaxed position to administer your treatment. We will make sure the skin is cleaned before applying the personalized solution to the treatment areas. We will massage the solution onto your face and allow it to work for an appropriate amount of time, which we will discuss in your chemical peel planning session. Finally, we will wash the solution off your face and apply a neutralizing agent. You may want to bring sunscreen and a hat to wear outside following the peel to avoid sun exposure.

Retin-A Peel: Our team compounds the ingredients for this medical-grade peel, which is designed to diminish dark spots, sun damage, and fine lines. Effective for any range of skin colors, this treatment provides remarkable results in fighting acne and offers a solution for those patients who are not candidates for photorejuvenation.
Illuminize Peel: Designed by SkinMedica®, this peel results in vibrant, radiant-looking skin with minimal downtime, little to no irritation, and no visible peeling. We might direct you to keep your treated areas covered and clean if you have a deep peel that requires bandages after the procedure. Avoid the sun, keep skin moisturized, and use any prescription creams, ointments, or medications we prescribe. Please keep in mind that no matter how much your skin itches during the healing process, it is never helpful to pick the skin off. You may create scarring to your skin.
